I trained in counselling over twenty years ago and subsequently went on to to complete both supervision and psychotherapy training. Responding to therapy changes within the NHS, I completed my cognitive behavioural training over 10 years ago. I have worked privately and within the NHS.
Prior to my work as therapist I trained as a General and Sick Children’s Nurse, working on wards, neonatal intensive care units and also as a member of staff in a Children’s Hospice.

About
Gentle Spirit
I find that walking in the heart of beautiful landscape, tending my garden, listening to and playing music are all uplifting activities that nourish me. I enjoy taking time just to settle and be still, delighting in the gifts that nature has to offer.
I discovered in my early career, that being alongside others, providing a safe space for them to talk about and express their feelings, was an experience I felt drawn to. It therefore felt a natural progression for me to train in counselling and psychotherapy. I firmly believe that the quality of presence within the therapeutic relationship is core. Grounded in this belief, the invitation both in the psychotherapy, supervision and mindfulness work I offer, is to help whoever I am with to move towards a more fulfilling life, to learn to listen to themselves and respond to their own inner voice.
